Safety Professional of the Year - SPY Award
American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) - Northeast Illinois
(NEIL)

Dear Client/Safety Professional,
I am most excited to report the following news and wanted to share it with you.
"After careful review and evaluation of the nominations, the Awards Committee proposed, and the Executive Board approved, the selection of Andy Tudor as the Northeast Illinois American Society of Safety Engineers Safety Professional of the Year. Andy received a statue of the Safety Goddess to commemorate his achievement." - January 2004 ASSE NEIL Newsletter
"I would like to thank the Awards Committee and the Executive Board for bestowing me with the prestigious Safety Professional of the Year (SPY Award). My work in safety areas, particularly my publishing of 'Concepts in Machine Guarding and Safeguarding' with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), and my participation in the standards working/writing group of the American Society of Testing Materials (ASTM), I think, was pivotal in the committee's deliberations. The ASTM working group produced American Society of Testing Materials Standards F2273 and F2274 relating to the testing and specifications of suspension systems on mountain bikes. I humbly accept the award and hope that my contributions to safety have some positive effect on the health and well being of all humankind." - January 2004 ASSE NEIL (Tudor Response)
